Our journey begins with precision engineering, where 3” 409 stainless steel tubing is expertly formed using our hydraulic mandrel bender. Each tube undergoes rigorous verification in our bend check fixtures to ensure it meets our exact specifications. After bending, the tubes are cut to the perfect length, the resonator is trimmed, and hangers are bent with meticulous attention to detail, preparing them for our skilled MIG welders.
Moving on to the midsection, the same high-quality 3” 409 stainless steel is bent into the desired shape, and a specially designed cutting and welding fixture is employed for the merge collector. This ensures a tight tolerance, allowing the exhaust gases to smoothly distribute to each exhaust port exit for optimal performance.
The production of the exhaust tips is an art in itself, using 2.5” 304 stainless steel tubing. Each piece is checked for accuracy in our bend check fixture, followed by precision trimming, cleaning, deburring, and expanding the ends, all in preparation for the final welding process. STILLEN proudly offers these tips in various options, including the stunning blue burnt or the pristine Polished stainless steel, both engraved with the iconic Stillen logo.
The grand finale involves welding the tips and exhaust hangers into place, culminating in a flawless catback exhaust system.
