The dump truck driver actually ended up being your saviour. You couldn't have asked for a better barrier to take a hit from behind if traffic further back failed to stop. This near death experience will stay with you for a long time. By the grace of God your life was spared. Phew!

I just got a master not long ago, so this interests me. When I swapped out my tire to street, it seemed like the only thing contacting the stem hole was the metal stem itself. It would seem more likely that you got a puncture with a modest leak. Once the rim side pressure got low enough, the rim spun inside the tire, ripping the stem out. You could put the pump in the stem hole left in the tube, and wrap it up with tape or a zip tie (left over from your tire change) and see if there isn't another leak somewhere in the tube once it has some pressure in it.

When I take the wheel apart I will get a better idea. At this point the valve stem just spins.

Yep that driver obviously saw what was going down and reacted right away, unlike the red truck whom I don't think even swerved to try to avoid me.

Gives me the willies! I was lucky and took a dive on the shoulder and went into the grass, but into the roadway "Oh hell no"! You are very lucky, if there was just one inattentive driver it would be game over.

If the cause of failure is a design/manufacturing/systemic etc, it could happen to others. Maybe alert Jason eWheels. He might want to test/examine the entire wheel thoroughly to determine cause. Possible recall required. And it has previously happened before? To another Begode/Gotway? Have others experienced the same failure? Awaiting next video, thanks.

So, I whip around on a v14 and some other inmotion wheels and as a person that rides these, I wholly understand why cars dont want us on the road. I dont want us on the road. I wouldnt love me if i was behind me in my car, if you follow what I mean by that. I wish we had some cool skate park tracks all over. Some ki d of commercial franchise of EUC parks would have me signed up for a lifelong membership.

Legally ok, yes, morally, not so much. One driver and a fire chief did stop to ask if I was ok.

If I were you Duf I would go back to enjoying the dualtron scooters to enjoy the outdoors… these unicycles are no good I sold all 3 of my unicycles because I realize that china hates America and who knows they can build these things to cut out at any speed at any time
