Say brother. I just finished a 87 GMC El Caballero. Silver metallic with a red pinstripe, HiLow 3 pump set up, sitting on 72 cross lase Treces with the brand new whitewalls. I don't know if I want to switch it up, I also just bought the stock hubs from a vato off of Craigslist and I'm thinking of getting sprayed a clean white, giving it a nice squat, with original hubs on new whitewalls, I care about this one to to much... what started the game for me was a 72 Monte back in the day, unfortunately I was young and dumb messing around in the streets caught a case that could have cost me half of my life in prison if I didn't play it right and in order for me to win this one I needed a top notch lawyer payed 15k for the lawyer and part of that 15k came from selling my dream car I was 18 at the time I'm now 32 and been trying to get myself back on a monte ever since, 15 years later even though I didn't get my seven dus I'm just as happy with my new 79. I can't wait to dig In on it. I seriously just got It two weeks ago and I have already bought some parts for it and getting ready to start putting hands on it....

Yeah I think these look really nice either way you go. When I was looking for my first car back in '01 I was looking for a 1st gen Monte. Those body lines always caught my attention. First time I saw one was in Boulevard Nights 💯. But I couldn't find one. I still want one so hopefully in the future I can find one for a reasonable price. That clean white will look real clean on your 79 💯💯

Looks great. I hate masking. I'm stupid with it. I dont think the self etch was necessary if using epoxy as a sealer. The epoxy has way better adhesion than the rattle can. Good work!

You Inspire me I'm building a 78 monte too I like how you noticed the price of parts going up See what people don't seem to realize is that most of these cars are gone and that's why parts are going up and G body cars value is also going up Go on Craigslist you'll be lucky to find one or two for sale most got crushed You used to be able to buy these cars for 2k running and driving Go on line now 10-$20k go check online cars for sale if u don't believe me good job bro

I use the same gun. Is that the Concours Pro 2 ? It was the only gun i could find that didnt need a super expensive compressor to run it. It has never let me down

Thank you! Yeah I was in the same predicament as you. The hard top was the worst for me. It had a lot of rust pits and some went through. It was a bit rough but I'm glad I took my time to get it straight. Good luck in yours 👊💯

Coming out nice 👍 what Eastwood gun ? is that the pro or the concour 2 looking to buy a Eastwood gun also hopefully I can paint with a 30 gallon husky compressor it puts out 6.8 cfm at 40 psi

It's the Concours Pro. You might be able to get away with doing a few panels at a time. I had to upgrade my air compressor to a bigger one because the small one couldn't keep up. I had to wait for it to fill up. Although I matched the cfm on both the gun and the air compressor I could only get away with spraying a panel at a time.
