Well done stepping out your comfort zone. Winter is the best time to fish small stillwaters!! Try pulling apps worms (amber/pink/red) on a slow glass to a DI3. Takes are ferocious! Get some proper bungs and try an egg, cat bug, squirmy or wotsit (3ft to 6ft generally works great)! Keep the videos coming 👍

Another great watch 👍. All the big fish come out to feed up this time of year on the Stillwaters. Apps Brandling drifted on a floater or midge tip on a Ripple, can be deadly. Olive or Amber apps on a fast glass stripped back too. Whatever the method, I look forward to seeing you guys. Tight lines.

Great video again I.b and andy loving the stillwater vlogs👍. I recommend press manor fishery in the peak district because you have a chance at catching the weird trout species and it isn't a massive water🎣🎣

Imo from now to March is the best time for small stillwater fisheries. The water seems to heat up quicker and quicker and buzzer hatches are erratic from May onwards on small pools. 3 to 6 ft down with a variety of methods tends to work well for the next 4 months.
@IBandAndyFishing3 жыл бұрын
A few folks have said that now, or sounds like IB and I need to man up a bit!
@oldgold58483 жыл бұрын
@@IBandAndyFishing no need to man up guys! Grayling fishing in the winter up to your knick knackinoos gets cold as well. I find fishing gloves useless as you lose all feel, but surgical gloves keep your hands dry and a little warmer. That and a coffee and bacon butty after a couple of hours! I find even in the winter, flat calm and bright still makes fishing tougher. Normally, spring and summer an early start is best, but sometimes at this time of year fish only switch on for a short time, often from say 1 to 4 oclock.If you find yourself heading towards Ellerdine at any time, let us know. Great folk there, great fishing...even I catch some sometimes!. Have a look at Rhys fishes, Leigh Pond, Shaun fishes , Martin Williams and Lols channel for some great stillwater tips.

Floating line: Diawl Bachs , crunchers, buzzers, cormorants, mini lures. Bung with eggstacy flies or cat bugs or bloodworms. Intermediate line: apps worm, any lures. Sinking line: blobs, boobies, lures. It’s all trial and error with what you feel confident with and how you fish the setups but these setups with get you plenty of fish in winter.

I think you both did very well, and I really enjoyed watching. Andy you were on it when you worked out the fish were moving in the margins. So casting along the margins as apposed to short cast out. And I would recommend to work from the top down. So IB was spot on there. I have enjoyed this so much so that I have subscribed. Learn more check out Shaun Fishes. Take care. Shaun.
