Thank you for the video. I sense your passion as well profound knowledge. You indeed give not only pros *and* cons, but I was able to deduct that this is really a great synth for me (and I don't have space for several devices). I need something flexible for experimenting with sounds and increasing my imagination as a composer. The video has helped me with a buying decision for the hydrasynth deluxe.

@5:25 if you hold shift+select a wave under wavescan, it will populate the other 7 automatically in order

This was a good review. Enough talking enough demonstration (maybe could have used a -little- bit more actually, IMO). Stimming character is really intriguing to watch though. What a rad synth this is! The macro knobs are a very welcomed feature.

He really dove into the digital aspects of this synth, ignored it's impressive virtual analog capabilities then complained about it lol. this synth sounds warm if you want it to.

This is one of those synths that's sooo amazing but I'd never buy it because I don't think I have the mental capacity to benefit from what it's capable of.

The Hydrasynth is the most overhyped synth of the last decade. Its sound is so bland. Even with the deep feature set, every sound has a similar hue, it's unavoidable. I preordered a deluxe as soon as it was announced and waited for it for 6 months, but then sold it within 1 month upon arrival. Extreme disappointment

Agree: I sold my explorer within 3 months. The hardware is excellent but like you say the sound is samey, can’t quite put my finger on it but it never sounded good imo.
