I am so glad you address using oils on your hair. To each their own, but if oils are working and your hair is healthy why change. I am glad you tried the no oils to see for yourself. Thank you for this video.
@HealthyAfroHair3 жыл бұрын
Yeah definitely! I mean I’m always open to trying different things to see how my hair responds, although I didn’t fully commit by going through the whole #30dayhairdetox process. But right now, I’m just sticking with what my loves best.

Thanks for the video! I only use those herbs as a mask prior to my shampoo and I did notice a huge difference re my overall hair health, its thicker and stronger. Will defo try the oil as well 🤩
@HealthyAfroHair3 жыл бұрын
You’re welcome! Ahh…that’s so good 🙌🏾 I try these herbs as a mask to begin with, but things didn’t quite turn out well 😩 so I decided to use it as an oil instead.

Hey Julie this is good info thank you. New natural here 😊Quick question..how do you grow your hair without protective styling with less manipulation when you have very coiled hair that don't work with wash n goes? I have a sensitive scalp and I want to enjoy hair and grow it too
@HealthyAfroHair3 жыл бұрын
Hey girl, that’s good to hear 🤗 Yes, I’ve mainly been rocking my natural hair since I’ve been natural and it’s definitely possible to grow and retain length without PS. I just stick to simple and basic hairstyles and try not to manipulate my hair too much, as well as washing, deep conditioning and moisturising regularly. I love rocking a high puff or bun most days and even Twist outs or braids can work too. So that’s a few options for you to consider. I also have hairstyles playlist here, if you want some other styling options. bit.ly/2RuvtsI

Hi Julie, thanks for this great video. I notice that you do this at night. Do you find that the oil tends to seep into your pillow? I normally try to moisturise my hair earlier in the day when I don’t have to wrap up my hair as I find that all the product ends up in the pillow. 😀
@HealthyAfroHair3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks, glad you enjoyed it 🤗 Someone actually asked me the same question and I was saying that using less has helped. But just the other night, I noticed it had soiled my pillow case 😩 So it looks like I’ll be joining you and doing it during the day.

How often during a week do you do scalp massages?
@HealthyAfroHair3 жыл бұрын
I try and do it 2-3 times a week.
@fatudaniel73013 жыл бұрын
I also heard that oiling your scalp at night helps improve hair growth than doing it during the day. I'm definitely trying it today coz I washed my hair this morning. Also, I didn't oil my scalp last week.... the amount of itching I experienced? Wow. I can't ☹🤣 Great video 💙
@HealthyAfroHair3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Hope you managed to get that scalp massage in and that your scalp is now calm and relaxed 😆💛
@naturalwoman83153 жыл бұрын
Great video! Odd question- how do you protect your pillow case at night, as in preventing your oils from getting on your pillowcase. I have ruined so many pillowcases. 😂
@fatimar38343 жыл бұрын
good question
@HealthyAfroHair3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! That’s actually a good question 😂 There’s been occasions in the past where mine have been soiled cos I used too much 😩 But I’ve since reduced the amount which helps. But you can always double up and use both a bonnet and headscarf to see if that helps!
@sabinamoderno15172 жыл бұрын
Hi! I have tried this but when I do the scalp massage, I notice that my hair falls a lot! Is it normal? Thank you!
@HealthyAfroHair2 жыл бұрын
Hey, no your hair shouldn’t be falling out. I’d recommend visiting a trichologist to make sure everything is ok with your hair and scalp.

I'm I supposed to wash it out the next day?
@HealthyAfroHair3 жыл бұрын
You can leave it in if you like or if you’re doing a pre-poo then you can wash it out. It just depends.
