I have not seen the musical. I live on the West Coast and went on the waiting list when I heard the cast album was being released. I have listened to it everyday since I purchased the album on 12/14/14. I absolutely love this musical and I am very sad to see it close. My favorite song Is the Night the Pugilese learned how to dance.

What Sting said about people not know whether or not to see it because of the general idea of the story is true. They did previews here in Chicago and originally I wasn't really into seeing it, but then when I saw Rachel was in it (one of my Wicked faves) I said I HAVE to go see it. And I'm glad I did, it's one of the best shows I've ever seen. I hope that Sting being in the show will raise profits and that it will continue on. It's a truly beautiful musical and it *deserves* to be on broadway.

Sting did something as Gordon Sumner. Successful artistically but a financial failure. The name/character Sting is owned by the business. Which makes him viable. They weren't involved in the play.
