This interview with Sting from 1985 coincided with the release of Dream Of The Blue Turtles, an album highly regarded by many and a departure from his years with the Police. Whether a fan or not, Sting's songwriting talent is undeniable, witness Fields Of Gold and Alien In New York for starters. As an interview subject, ex-school teacher Gordon Sumner possesses a keen intellect and is disarming and frank.

I love this music movie, Bring on the Night. I rented it and kept it longer than due date because it was so good to see and i felt like i was there with them all. It made me so happy. Ty for this interview. I love Sting since i heard his voice in 1983 and afterwards i researched his bands and his other music before he went solo. So interesting

When one grows in a suppression of other's false perceptions, you often have to be perceived as a "bad boy" and subtly attract their negativity as you gracefully transform it in front of their eyes into something very positive. I think the Police sang it best when they said, "I will turn your face to alabaster when you find your servant is your master." Their echoing of Jung in their music was like a neurological time-bomb that blew some people's minds when it went off decades later. Some people have yet to awaken. Peace 💝

@@jeffkaufman9875 I am glad you had a good laugh. But there was nothing pretentious about it. I was completely serious about that. Their echo of Jungian philosophy was remarkably well done and very inspiring. No jocularity was intended. I still remember listening to it on radio back in 1983.
