Na, the best band of that area was just before, The Blue Turtles with Omar Hakim, Darryl Jones, Branford, Kenny, Janice, Dolette and Sting of course.

i enjoyed every band Sting created. They all had their own uniqueness. But Dolette got to travel with Sting and they were awesome creatively with their dances, live. I enjoyed immensely on youtube.

Amnistía en Chile, con Calliouta, Miller, la mejor banda que tuvo Sting... Como olvidar "Bring on the night". Gran keyboard!!! The best!!!

I saw this band on this tour in 88, Kenny was pure fire, he was 33 but looked 53 and very conservative. His playing had everything, I'd never have guessed he was a massive coke user.

Not an easy task to upstage Branford Marsalis on that tour, but Kenny Kirkland did it nightly. What gets lost in the mix is the insane bass and percussion that was happening at the same time. POWERHOUSE band.

Sting broke into a river dance funky soul groove thing there and looked a complete tosser . Rescued by the band and a great vibe.

nothing wrong with both having fun in music and making it a real multilevel *performance* ~part of the reason you even know the guy's name happens to be because of the latter, love it or hate it.
