A Sting interview is like a Stanley Kubrick film - it's a coin-flip whether it'll be engaging or opaque, but you know it'll be deeply intelligent. Thanks to this interviewer, we see a very personable side to Sting. Nice job. One thing: Anyone else notice that Sting looks suspiciously like David Letterman?

I love Sting! I am The Police fan number 1. I grew up listen to The Police and Every Breath You Take was the fist song that I translated ti my mother tongue: Portuguese when I was 10 year old girl! I simply loved this song and lyric! So beautiful! The Police is the best rock band ever! It was a pity they separeted in 1984, I stayed sad! I love Sting, Andy and Stewart! They are amazing!

Nice interview. Such a relief the lack of cheesiness that often comes with interviews like this, so glad there's no "we've got a message for you" -videos, good and relevant to-the-point-questions. And Sting makes such good sentences, knows to articulate his answers so well and precise. What a joy!

Just wanted to forward a heartfelt regard and gratefulness for the interviewer being a humble, kind, and professional journalist that can comfortably respect and regard someone that is due such honor, and yet not be littled or insecure in Sting's presence. Beautifully kind conversation of just being real...much appreciated and certainly uplifting to see as world powers press a lower standard to be embraced. Like the interviewer, Sting has been a high standard of excellence and intellect and heart to inspire myself and so many others. Hopefully can see him live in concert myself some day.

Great interview! I met him twice in Chicago. I"m a photographer for WLS TV. As I was putting the mic on him the last time we had a brief exchange, and I can say he's extremely kind, just like you see here in this interview. I'm a lifelong Police fan and even a bigger Solo fan. It was a moment for me in my 30 years of doing tv news that I will always cherish. I have a pic of us laughing in that moment. I told our intern to keep snapping pics us! I have one that I throw up on Facebook from time to time. It's us smiling and chatting about yoga and girls lol.

As it often happens I was searching for something, found it and it leads me to something unexpected. Like this interview. My oldest brother, may he RIP, was a doppelganger of Sting for a few years in the early 80s, he was a fan of all Britain's pop as were so many in the US during that time. Fast forward to learning others chose every breath you take to play at their weddings, my brother and I shared a hysterical laugh and carried that inside joke many of times well into the future. I hadn't thought about all that until I saw a KZbin short with a bit of Sting's song with lyrics changed to reflect the love song that it wasn't meant as. This lead me to Google search for Sting's thought on all that and here I am. Got my answer but I also witnessed a grown-up interviewer behaving star-struck and it's so very sweet. I can not express how beautiful this moment has been for me. I'd not heard of this channel, nor the Interviewer, but what a lovely surprise this was. Thank you.

Happy 30th Anniversary to Sting's Ten Summoner's Tales which, towards my belief, is his Magnum Opus. Funny enough, it feels like when they split in 1983-86', Stewart, Sting, and Andy became just as big progressively. A toast to one of the greatest rock trios of all time. 🥂

Special Police song for me is "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" because it features the singing of "EO" (also heard on Walking On the Moon) as found in the anagram pertinent to the LP "Ghost In the Machine": POLICE = IC EO LP. GITM features Sting singing "EO" , has an integrated circuit IC printed on the record sleeve, and the cover shows 666 in a mirror.

If you look carefully on KZbin for a Breath or Man in New York you will see a video of an outdoor venue with a “ great pair” accompanying him. He certainly keeps “abreast” of things. Ok so am I the only who thought Sting was speaking to Trudie in this song when they first became a couple? I mean she did, maybe unintentionally, steal him from her best friend to whom he was married at the time... 🤔 Either way, there's no real mystery why the song is a huge hit, there's nothing subtle about any part of it...the lyrics grab you, the melody is making its point and the video presents the feel of all this to perfection.
