That was absolutely brilliant I haven't watched the other drum covers of this yet (and am sure they would be good too) but totally played with spirit of the song,. I wouldn't worry about comments saying vinnie didn't do that there etc it's not a Classical audition where every note has to be played precisely, I think Vinnie would have loved what you did :)

I really love that you pay attention to every single stroke when covering. A lot of the guys doing covers often just play along the song more or less close to the original version sometimes missing even quite an important fill here and there. But you play exactly what is played on the record. OK, the original is played on a slightly different set up and maybe there was some tiny little detail somewhere that wasn´t exactly the same with the original - I couldn´t hear any though. But the level of exactness and precision in the cover is veeery good and it makes me smile. I really enjoyed this. Thank you.

Great cover. I think the brilliance of Vinnie and many other drummers we are impressed with is the fact that they *created* the very sound we enjoy. Therefore I would say always find your own style. As much as I like this version, I thought I would hear YOUR improvised skills added to the track.

She's young, in my view, to be at such a stage and in that respect is more developed than her peers in this category. The comment was agnostic to the time in which the song was created. Most people her age are not at that listening or execution level.

Best drum cover I've ever seen of this song yet. I love how you sorted out all ghost notes in the bridge. That was all the stuff I couldn't do when I played this with my band because I was also the only one with the range and good enough time to sing it. (Yes, I sang and played this song live; not easy) When I (finally) get my studio together I'm going to record this masterwork because there are a number of things I would have liked to do both rhythmically and vocally I couldn't pull off live. IMO this is the best song ever written; the perfect song. I'm completely infatuated with it. Have been for decades.

A really great version of this track which is hard to play and give it some justice. To take off the fab drummer Vinnie like this and show it on Tube means something and Val really nailed it in every way so, very, very well done you as it is not easy and especially in that time signature. The accented hi-hat hits are great plus the splash cymbals and tom hits with the breaks. Hardly anyone could do this properly but you did! Very kind regards from Jim Lassen in the UK.
