Quick Review of the accessorides remote start for the kia stinger. Be sure when you order one that you choose the right model because they sell a bunch of different options and if youre not going touse a feature, you can save some money by not ordering it. generally they have a coupon code on the website to save some money as well so make sure to appl that before checking out.

Bad ass!!!! My mods list is finally coming along. I’m scared to add everything up price wise lol. Probably gonna post a vid after the intakes and lights get put in. Posted a vid of paint Correction/ceramic coating results. Hey Julian, Can you show us how you spliced the wires please and what ones they were? Also when the turbo timer is activated can you lock your car when the turbo timer is activated either on the app or on the key fob? Great video btw

Does it have a passive lock system? My Chevy had it so the car would auto lock 30 seconds after I got out with the key

Just purchased Stinger gt2 it can with the add on factory remote start but as you said in video it cuts off when doors open. Is it away to bypass that?

How did you run the cables from the passenger side to the fuse box? I can’t seem to find a way though the center console.

under the center console theres a openening you can squeeze a fishline through to pull the cable through

If you lock the car while it’s running with the app are you able to use the OEM fob or the button on the door handle to unlock? Or do you have to use the app again?

I wasn't sure about this so I just went to test it out. I started the car unlocked it with the button (door handle), locked it back with the app, unlocked it with the button (door handle), locked it again with the app and then used the FOB button to unlock it. Everything seemed to work as you would expect.

Any updates on if you got the heated seats to work and also do you have to keep your key with you when you drive off or could you leave it at home

I've been meaning to research some of the features that are supposed to be available, but have not yet. As for the FOB, you need it just as you normally would.

I'm in Canada and I got a 2020 stinger gt2 awd I'm just curious you don't have Kia connect that you use with you're phone for lock unlock ,start ,stop engine,and you can program in advanced all favorites like heating steering wheel front defrost and back exactly witch temperature you want in the car ect....and that's free until the end of 2025 and you don't have to restart the car when you get in just put it in drive and go plus you put in you put in you're favorite how long you want the motor to run with everything you want to be on ac temperature what ever and from anywhere and it takes between 10 seconds to 30 seconds to execute you don't have that in the US when you buy a stinger ? Pardon my French

We got none of those features in the 2020 model year lol. Not sure about now, but definitely not before. Canada always gets more features for some reason, even the new Civic is like that.

Good stuff! Dumb question, we get the remote start on the UVO app. Is it safe to use while having the Jb4 Installed? Due to wanting to check diagnostics for example. Anyway the dealer can know my shit via the app? 🤣

Haha thats a good question. I just read an article about a company in europe keeping track of your driving and selling the info to insurance. I probably wouldnt be worried about jb4 thought, not changing anything in the system so theres nothing for them see even if they are doing that.

Hello, I installed mine about a year or so ago. I don't recall disconnecting my battery at all during the install. I had no issues during install.

The new models don't require any splicing for override, however I can't get all the tires and modules tucked, and gonna have to find a professional for that part... Smh

Have yet to experience it drain the battery completely. Its been sitting at the dealer for about a week while they wait for parts but the battery has yet to drop. As for random restarts i wasnt aware that was a issue but it hasn’t happened to me.

I've had mine for a few months now and have seen no battery drain. My dash cam uses more power than this.

The app option has everything. Lets you use your car key to start by triple pressing the lock button, they also send you a secondary remote, and then you can also use the app. Basically the app control is everything. Thanks for the sub btw, appreciate it!

I installed this in my Stinger a few months ago and I love it. The different options are more or less add ons. I got the app function with turbo timer. So i have the app function, an additional remote (i don't use it, but it is used to set up the turbo timer) and I can use the original remote with three presses on the lock button to start the car. I did the take over option as well and the two additional wires you need to connect are fairly easy to get to and tie into.

@@edubb121 I'm not sure how to get a picture to you. Although the direction do have a picture and it's pretty good. With the app feature, the unit will come with a cell antenna. The app has unlimited range as long as the car, and your phone, has cell service. The original remote I've never paced out. But I've never been out of range when I wanted to use it. Disclaimer, I usually use the app. The extra remote they sent I've only used to set up turbo timer, so really no info on that.

As far as I know all Stingers have a hood switch from the factory. So no need to deal with that. I installed mine a few months ago and didn't do anything with a hood switch. Just did the plug and play install and two additional wires for the take over feature.

@@MarvelousHebb I feel bad that I don't monitor my email closely. These replies are crazy late. If I remember correctly (I don't want to remove panels to verify) the two wires are a ground (installed with a screw at existing ground) and a power connection. I stripped the wire a little , cleaned any residue and soldered the wires together. The hardest part was laying in the floor board. I've read that they have made this unnecessary in newer units.

Only the 2022 has remote start with UVO Lost my key fob yesterday, called UVO and they confirmed that to me.

I've had mine a year or so and still love it. No issues at all. The only problem I've ever had with it was getting the optional long range remote to pair. I called customer support and they had me going in a few minutes.

It did when i had an apple watch. It was very finicky though and sometimes it would take like 2-4 tries just to open the app. Could have been fixed now as i havent used my apple watch in 5+ months

The vehicle will start and the climate controls will come on however you last left them. I always have mine in auto and I'm good to go in heat or cold.
