You folks make me homesick. I resided immediately behind where your hotel is, on Rose Street in Fort Cochin till 1995. Fort Cochin did not develop as it does now, and these hotels in Fort Cochin were home to descendants of the Portuguese (anglo indians) who lived a very simple lifestyle. I guess some did not even have the resources to maintain their homes. My school (The Delta Study), which is only a few minutes' walk from your accommodation, also has a history building. During colonial authority, it was used as a warehouse. This is simply incredible.... Have fun, guys.

There is resort named Kumarkom Lake Resort near Kochi Kerala. Its having a special suit with attached swimming pool that directly connected to backwater ocean / lake from where sun set can be observed. Not to mentioned its almost private even though in open by its nature. Its erstwhile Prince and now King Charles favorite suit in Kerala I assume. But I found out whenever some British couple lives there, seldom they get upgraded to that suit without extra fees. If you people would have booked that hotel you people may have got that suit too.
