English is not my first language and normally I have only very little problems understanding but it‘s interesting how that changes when I can‘t see the person speaking. Maybe it‘s the voice acting too, but I often found it really difficult somehow. I think for us dummies who don‘t speak english that well captions would be really helpful

Don't worry its not you, just the fake accents, Chip has a thick midwest accent, Ma Teite(?) Has a fake thick french accent which is known to be confusing in English on its own, and Elga has a fake Transylvanian (romanticized Romanian accent used for vampires), which are all very different from what would be "Standard English" accents, I completely get how that would be difficult to understand for someone who isn't a native English speaker. 😊❤

I noticed that I have trouble with accents in my own language, but not really with accents in English, unless they're VERY heavy. English is my second language. If you keep consuming English media, you will keep on practicing and you'll become better. That doesn't help with you in the moment though, I know.

We are always checking the comments! We record the episode with our DM/players and then cast voice actors after to re-record lines of NPC's (like Stacy the Orc Jeweler & Henry the kid in the college from this episode) that are edited in after for the final episode!
