I absolutely love the castle kitchens. I have spent hours looking at the simplicity of them and the basic uses. I spend a lot of time in my kitchen cooking baking canning n dehydrating. Around here they call me the whiskey cook😋.

@@juliemoy769 over the holidays I made a dozen cheesecakes laced with a Scottish whiskey liquer called Bruadar honey whiskey liquer. This past Sunday I made orange jelly,to be used as a condiment mixed with monkey shoulder , for braising pork grilling or baking😋😋😋

16.08 the dragon LOL its called the lion rampant, The Lion Rampant was eventually adopted as the Scottish royal coat of arms and incorporated into the Great Seal of Scotland.

the unicorn really is the official national animal of Scotland. ... With its white horse-like body and single spiral horn, the unicorn is a symbol of purity, innocence and power in Celtic mythology. Legend also tells that their horns can purify poisoned water, such is the strength of their healing power.

Fascinating castle with a lot of history and stories within. Those 9 skeletons they found in there it might interest you to know one is known as Sterling Man who they found out was a Knight in life. There's a great documentary on it on KZbin. It's called 'History Cold Case', Sterling Man. You might enjoy watching when you get a chance. Keep up these great videos, their gold. 😉

I think the building that is a different colour has just been restored to the original colour of the castle. It stands out for miles that colour. It’s a shame they have closed or done away with some of the more interactive aspects of the castle. Would love to have seen you both dressed up in the costumes they use to have 😂

the unicorn figure on top of the mercat cross is known locally as the "puggy" for a reason now remembers, puggy is a old scots word for a monkey or kitten but this fails to explain is usage in this context
