Anna, thank you so much for the tour of the expanded Acorns & Threads shop! I have been doing my Pandemic stitch everyday since January 31st... The start of the 100 Day Project. It is the final 10 days now, and I use the same strategy as you have been!! I always finish at least 1 length and before I put it away for the day I anchor my new thread for tomorrow! 🤗 The Pandemic sampler will go for a long time yet though!!! In 100 days I made it to page 4🤣

Listening to you is like looking into a mirror. We are so much alike in many ways. I worked nights on a desk on a couple different floors and I was a zombie. Got on days as soon as I could. And, I like all the same quilting you do and dislike paper piecing for the same reason. And, I jump into new projects with both feet and my eyes closed. My first quilt was a king size needle turn applique and hand quilted. It was American Indian designs so I my quilt design included geckos across the top and bottom and bear claws up the sashing. Applique is my passion. Love your chats. Beautiful table topper.

Acorns and thread looks like a beautiful shop. Thank you for sharing. I like your idea of threading a needle and taking a stitch, leaving it ready for your next time you stitch. I do this same practice when binding a quilt. At one time, I would thread several needles at one time, I may go back to that practice again. Happy Stitching! ❤️❤️

I can’t wait to get down and check out the new expansion! I started my StitchMaynia last night. It was late when I realized I hadn’t started anything as I had planned. So I went thru and found a chart, then realized I had pulled a natural linen and had a white that I wondered if the cream thread would work on it. I decided I’d compare the thread count if the natural. Well when I unfolded it not only had had done a very little bit on the piece already but my favourite bee needle minder was on the linen. I thought I’d dropped it and that maybe it had found something metal to attach itself to like the one you lost in Penny. I hope you find yours soon. Now I’m looking for my seam ripper I was just using it and it’s disappeared!

@@stitchroadie4076 no, I haven’t seen you since you bought the floss or I’d checked. I found the seam ripper just after writing that comment, it’s reunited with its guard and back where it should be.

The tour of Acorns and Threads was fabulous! Thanks so much! Also love the thread a day idea. Next video can you take a before photo and show and then show how much progress you have made on your three thread a day projects? That would be awesome to see. And yes, I do agree that Christy, JavaGirl, is an awesome finisher and has the cutest ideas for finishes! Happy one thread a day stitching! P.S. When you showed it months ago I screenshot it. Then you got home and showed you had purchased it. I laughed so hard. I have tried to find the chart online.

I watch your Stitch Roadies even though I am not cross stitching. I did catch myself purchasing some 14 count recently though and wondered why I felt like I had been sucked into an upcoming rabbit hole. More than likely this won't happen 'til later in the year though as I am currently doing "Spring Brook Blossom" BOM with Coriander Quilts. It is garden time too so life has speeded up with this lovely weather (although we are badly in need of rain!) we've been having. I'll live vicariously through you for a while...XO

Anna, I enjoyed seeing A&T’s store last week. I agree that the extra space in the store is wonderful. I picked up a red sampler they framed for me. The frame Jeanne suggested is perfect and I enjoy seeing my stitched piece fully finished and up on the wall. Your idea of doing a length of thread is a good one-I am also part of a SAL that does 25 stitches every day on one WIP. That is how I got the red sampler done. I along with you and many others are so enjoying Spring. All the flowers seem extra bright!! I have been enjoying the warm dry days. I know we need rain but...I do enjoy sunshine.

I never use any of the big box stores for framing anything. They offer 50% off but I’ve found their 50% off total is higher than the cost at my local framer. Also, you don’t know how well trained the big box framers are.
