Glad you made it down to the central coast. Great fishing, weather depending. The boat launch there is awesome and sketchy at the same time but some of the best operators on the controls. I've cooked on that very same rock as you... love fishing the Jetty there as well. VINCE! Nice to see you My first time off shore was an albacore trip out of Moro Bay. We ended up 80 miles off shore on a 90ft boat. Had an absolutely great time. Had a pod of Orca follow us for a while, but still caught lots of fish. On the way back, we got into 8-10 foot seas. It was a rough ride back. Almost 24 hours on that boat.

I catch my rockfish in Alaska. Of all of the rockfish we catch, I think the yelloweye is the best eating. That said, lingcod is better than all of ‘em. Flesh is just as firm but a bit sweeter. JMO 👍

Love the great idea of a keto fish sandwich. When I try this, after I catch a few off the Westport jetty, I will sew the fish together along one side first, then stuff it, then sew it the rest of the way. Yummy, I can't wait!!! 😋👍

Have you been fishing off the pier in Santa Barbara? I caught a 24 1/2 in Halibut. I go fishing in port SLO but you need to go in the rocks before the launch by cal poly pier.

Another SWEET video! Sad that first Rock Fish on dropped off. I think the same fish basically tastes the same. As I'm not much into the taste of most fish I try to pursue fish that I do enjoy eating. Fond of Salmon, Sunfish, Trout and Sturgeon. But also looking for more fish flavors I enjoy. Still need to try Halibut and Calzone. We just started putting Fish Recipes on our channel. So look forward to trying out this one, it actually sounds and looks so good (heck with the health aspect of it heh). Anyways... Calzone. Does sound Italian. You should try to do a catch and cook from the rocks out there. I used to live in Santa Maria and nipomo a few years back I wish I was into fishing then. Moved back to the Bay Area and got into fishing thanks to your videos. Every time I try to rock fish I just be losing hella tackle 😂 gimme one good spot ! I’m tired of alameda it’s like 80% rays 20% stripers and halibut

I watched a stuffed halibut done by laying it out whole, fileting it from the center outward but leaving both halves attached. Then cutting the spine out removing the spine and other bones now fill the fish with crab and other wanted filling. Fold the two loins over the stuffing and bake. Simple and delicious.
