Here's a quick tutorial on my new favorite stitch: The Jasmine Stitch! This stitch creates a thick, squishy fabric with a flower design. It uses up a lot of yarn but the final product is worth it!

I saw your Short and instantly knew I wanted make a blanket. I’ve never crochet before, so I paused and played back at least 50 times but I finally got the hang of it. I might have spend my whole day today crocheting 3 rows 😂 Don’t know why I thought It was a good idea to do a 5 ft x 7 ft blanket 😅

@@abe3870 😂😂 It went really well. At first. It took about 20 balls of yarn for about 5 x 2 ft and I did it in about two weeks. After that I had to wait for the store to get new yarn 😂 then life happened. I got into a new relationship, started a new job with 50h work week and haven’t touched it anymore basically. Tho I did do a few smaller projects that turned out beautifully ☺️

I’ve seen a lot of people saying they struggled with tutorials for this stitch. I didn’t have the chance to struggle because I managed to stumble upon this tutorial first. @yarnTh3ory
@yarnTh3ory 2 жыл бұрын
Hello! This video just explains the Jasmine stitch and how to work it. It is not a pattern. The amount of yarn needed will depend on what you would like to make and the size. I highly suggest creating a 4inch by 4 inch gauge swatch using the yarn and hook of your choice. This swatch will help you to determine how much yarn you will need for the project you plan to make.
@godzgirl371
@godzgirl371 2 жыл бұрын
Is there a specific count on the first row (like multiples of 3) or do you create until it’s the length you want? thank you, this is absolutely beautiful.
@yarnTh3ory
@yarnTh3ory 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! No, there is no specific stitch count. Let’s say you want to make a blanket that is 36 inches wide. All you would do is keep making foundation puff stitches until the foundation row equals 36 inches. (You could also calculate your exact stitch count if you make a gauge swatch. This is helpful if you want to make items of different sizes. My gauge is 4 puffs stitches x 4 rows = 4in x 4 in . So if I want a 36 inch wide blanket I would need to start with 36 puff stitches).

You're not dumb. It's not an easy one. I failed so many times till I got the hang of it. Watch a couple of tutorials and you'll get there. 😁

Have to turn the volume up all the way to hear you speak and then when you cut to the music it's so loud.

The music is terrible. But I have to hear your voice. So I cannot turn down the noice. Love from 🇳🇴

I’ve received lots of differing opinions on the music so it’s been tricky. Will continue to experiment with the levels in future videos so that it isn’t a distraction during the tutorial. Thank you for the feedback.

@@yarnTh3ory Thank you for reading my complaint. I have to agree with you now. But I’m skipping one small part in the process, namely holding the thread on the left while trying to pull the hook through all those stitches.
