Thank you this is a much more secure double knitting cast on, that makes the first knitting/purling row so much easier ❤

My gosh, this was helpful! Thank you for going slowly and repeating your steps. I just cast on with two colors after watching you, figured out how to join in the round, and now I am merrily making a very colorful sock cuff. I appreciate you! ❤

Thank goodness for this tutorial bc the other popular double knitted cast on isn't working for me with what I'm doing. I even found a video where he suggested doing the knit cast on them go back and fudge around with alternating the colors by twisting them over eachother with your fingers. What?! That takes all day, and is very difficult to work with if you're doing charted colorwork! So thanks for this!

I'm so glad this one worked for you :) The invisible / figure 8 type cast ons for double knitting can be a lot to get your brain around at first, but they do make for a pretty edge. One easier (though somewhat time consuming) option I've seen if you want to go for that is to cast on enough for both layers with waste yarn, and then after knitting a few rows, remove the waste yarn and graft the two layers together.
