I LOVE this Val and the way you make the flags is perfect because if you read about traditional prayer flags it is said that as the flags become worn and faded by the elements that they are becoming a permanent part of the universe. I've read that Tibetans renew their hopes for the world by continually mounting new flags alongside the old. This act symbolizes a welcoming of life changes and an acknowledgment that all beings are part of a greater ongoing cycle. Just as we say that as life moves on, it is replaced by new life. I have been wanting to make some prayer flags to send to my sister. She was recently diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatments. Stupid Cancer. I need to send some blessings and healing on the wind for her. If anyone reads this and makes a set of flags, please write my sister's name (Patsy) on one before you hang it so our combined blessings flow out into the wind. Thank you for this video!

Brilliant Val! This is a great project! I’m going to share with friends new to sewing and those decorating their outdoor living spaces🦋💕love that you chose so many cool motifs (I’m a big fan of Chinese motifs). Love the color ways too.
