Jean, What a beautiful 365 days of stitching you have done. I love that you are writing your stories on the back;) I so appreciate your beautiful quilt art; you have been such an inspiration for me and my thoughts of creativity, from quilts, stitching, photographs and your love of nature that we happen to have in common. warmest regards, Cheryl

Your stitching reminds me of a modern day Bayeux Tapestry on a smaller scale. It tells the story of your year in stitches!

Bits of embroidery don't always have to "be" something, they are just nice to look at. Love your roll, keep rolling Jean:)

This is freaking AWESOME!!! Thank you for sharing Jean!! So having FOMO this year for QA and the SOQS. Loved being their all week last year, but now that I know "what I'm missing" it is seriously rough not being able to come again! Aaaa, such is life. I'll just have to add it to a Bucket List 2.0 quilt and plan to come again in the future. A huge thank you to you and Valerie for all you do for the quilting and needlework community. You both rock!! And I know how much you love rocks LOL. Hugs from NE Ohio.

I love to slow stitch pages to make a book, but this scroll will be my next project! The addition of your handwritten squares on back is something that I will add to my work. Thank you for sharing.

Your scroll is lovely! I'm doing something similar for my #100daysproject, but at almost 40 days in, I might try to extend it to a year. I've not traveled yet, so we'll see how I'm able to keep up with my daily stitching when I'm traveling. Your work is inspiring me. Thank you!

This is such a fabulous and inspiring project. I too have many very small and precious scraps of fabric that I am quite attached to. They would be so much fun to use as inspiration for stitching something like your long scroll. I'm getting some white flannel at the fabric shop this very day. I have been inspired by your videos on this and I can't wait to get a similar project started. Thanks also for the technical tips on the materials you used and how you achieved your end result. It's just fabulous. I can't wait to see updates on your anticipated/new stitching project.

Beautiful work Jean, thank you for sharing. I have done slow meditative stitching for several years usually on individual squares. I think the roll is a great way to change it up.

I watched your segment last year and even cut a length of flannel but stalled. Thanks for the follow up…it’s amazing. I also ordered the Fragmentation and Repair book …it is such a worthy of a place on your book place.❤

I love slow stitching. Years ago it was just called embroidery. But the best part for me, now, is we embrace the wonky and dont worry what it will be used for😅

Amazing work. Could you please show how you sew down the edges of the background stitching or is it just loose or fused? Thanks

It's loose

I love this, thank you for sharing your inspiration. What pen did you use for your notes on the back?
@Stitchinpost Жыл бұрын
Any permanent ink will work. Micron pens or fine point Sharpies work well. Just make sure it won't bleed through.
