Love how the two of you always seem to show the versatility of the pattern when you make the same garment. Both shirts look great!

I really love this pattern design. It's definitely on my list to buy. I enjoy seeing versions of it made-up. Thank you for sharing.

Oh wow! The optical illusion on Nikki's shirt! I'm watching and the fabric morphed and I saw the numbers! Fantastic! Both shirts are fabulous ladies and now I want to make both versions! I have to get the pattern first, Lord knows I have enough fabric!, lol

I never cared for this pattern before, but after seeing your two versions I may have to get it and make my own Kalle shirt.

I would love to get a peek at your closets. I have seen what you ladies make each week but to see all the clothing you ladies have made in one place would be cool. Thanks.

They are both beautiful. I’m going to start cutting very soon. Did you size down from the pattern? I love your fits and I’m wondering how you approached that. It seems like a lot of positive ease. Thanks!

love both your Kalle's, its been a great pattern for this month, I made 2 and have to admit I love them more than I thought I would, the drafting is great but I misread the instructions a couple of times and made a few mistakes, always rushing ahead and think i know what I'm doing!

Girls! I watched this for a full SIX MINUTES before I saw the numbers on Nicki's shirt! I love both of these tops, great job! I could never wear Rachel's view though, because I don't have a flat stomach and I feel like that shirt would totally emphasize that figure flaw.

Stay Stitching me too! It took me until the close up to realize the numbers. ☺️

I was just thinking that I hadn’t seen a video from you for several days and within a couple of hours - up popped your video! Wonderful shirts. I especially love Nikki’s Fabric and shirt. You’ve inspired me to start sewing for myself again. I went to the fabric store today and bought McCall’s #7081. View B would look wonderful on both of you. Happy Sewing!

I love the way the crape drapes and the print makes a pretty top. I do think some US quilting cottons would work after the fabric is washed. By the way, my first sewing project in school was a plan blouse so it's doable for begenners.

Love both of your shirts. i agree and I'm going to make another one too. Also agree re. the size and I'm going for an in-between the short and tunic version. Would you recommend lengthening the short one or shortening the tunic?? Thanks as always for sharing ladies, you both look great as always xx

Your top-stitching is exquisite! Can you do a video on that sometime (or maybe you have?). Mine never looks that perfect.

I think you have both done a great job but think Nicky’s style suits her more. It’s brilliant though, to show how you can get completely different looks from the same pattern and different fabrics.

Hi sisters. Love both variations. I would like to know how you would adjust a pattern for sloping shoulders. Thank you.

Lovely Kalles! The fabrics both suit this design very well. I also made a Kalle this past month, in the dress version. I used a shirting-weight clay-colored denim (you can see it on my Instagram @lotuspeachblog). I also have sloping and narrow shoulders so I may consider adjusting the pattern next time. I have my eye on a chambray or Tencel/cotton blend to make the shirt version in a blue. I like the contrast topstitching idea: I am feeling red for this Spring/Summer.

I'm making the cropped version with the popover placket but I'm just realising that the front facing doesn't have a pattern piece or instructions for a front facing piece without a center front seam? Did I miss something? I'm going to measure how much to cut off at CF and have a seam there but it would be better to have a single piece in the front. It feels like for how good their instructions are, surely I must he missing something!? Hmmm

They are both lovely girls and it's next on my list to make so very excited 😁. It will be my first shirt make but I think if I take it slow I should be fine👍. I'm doing the straight view A with the covered placket and I might as a couple of inches to the front even though I'm short. If I do this to the front I'm assuming that I have to do the same to the back......not sure, I'm sure I'll figure it out 😊😘
@StitchSisters6 жыл бұрын
the back views are the same except you can choose between the type of pleats you do in the back. There is a very good sew along on the Closet Case website apparently (hope that helps)

Lovely tops, Ladies! And another thoroughly enjoyable video. I noticed that your shirts unbutton the opposite way. Did one of you purposely do your button placket around the opposite way? If so, is that because you're left-handed, etc.?
@StitchSisters6 жыл бұрын
Jenni Alfabetico no it wasn’t intentional. I think I (Nikki) struggled with the placket using the crepe so was happy with anyway it sat in the end !!

Why don’t you show a vid of the two of you moving around in those darling shirts. It’s helpful to see scale and movement of the two types of fabrics in full views.
