I think your a talented sewist and love your tutorials. It's great when you have a favourite pattern to use over and over again. I am plucking up courage to make your lovely waterproof jacket you made some time ago as I am returning to UK to live and will need it I think. Happy sewing and look forward to your next vid.

Lauren, what a great video! I love, love, love your tops and dresses! I really want to give this pattern a go now! Also, I TOTALLY agree with you on the viscose (rayon) fabrics! It’s my first choice for woven dresses and tops! Thank you so much for this timely review!

Thank you so much. I loved this shirt style especially sleeves but there is something wrong collar. I dont know maybe its neck little high. I mean when drawn the neckline (center front) maybe 2 cm deeper it works. 🤔 In this case It looks like men's shirt. 🤷😌🤗🤗

Can you tell me about the inverted and box pleats, do they give different finishes?
@LaurenGuthrieGhani6 жыл бұрын
Hi Claire, yeh they give different looks, so the box one is a bit more visible in the sense that you can see the folds of the pleat on the outside of the garment, whereas the inverted one the pleat is more folded to the inside. In this blog post are pictures of both pleats so you can see what I mean guthrie-ghani.co.uk/blog/closet-case-patterns-kalle-shirt-and-shirt-dress :)

Hi my friend made this and told me the placket was a nightmare, is it too hard for a relative beginner ?
@LaurenGuthrieGhani6 жыл бұрын
The half way placked is more tricky than the standard button band as you aren't working with a symmetrical pattern piece. I made that mistake when I inserted mine as my fabric didn't have an obvious right and wrong side and I ended up putting interfacing on the wrong side and had to cut it again. Questions relating to difficulty are always hard for me to answer as everyones interpretation of what is hard is different but if you are new to shirt making, I'd say maybe try another version first. Good luck!
