Really enjoyed seeing the pics of your wonderful booth! It’s so hot here in a Florida too so it’s hard to think of fall...or Halloween.....but I do remember one year when my brother and I dressed up as raggedy Ann and Andy.....with red mop heads for our hair....fun times!

My favorite costume was one I made for my oldest son when he was 4. I was a new sewer and made him a cow costume which included a hood/face mask type type deal. All 5 of my children cycled through this costume and continues to be fondly remembered.

My favorite costume was one made by my mother. I was probably 6 years old (I'm 72 now). She sewed a princess dress for me and hand sewed sequins all over it so it sparkled a lot. After halloween I wore it as often as I could - especially when I would roller skate. Always enjoy watching you!

So good to see your smiling face again! I enjoyed visiting with you...I had a plastic bunny mask that I wore several Halloweens until it became to small for my face. I remember that when I wiggled my nose, the mask moved and it made me feel like a real rabbit.

Ahhhhh the broom incident of 2019 - makes me feel like I’m not that crazy after all. The broom lasted longer under your watch than it would mine. I felt the rage building up as you were telling the story. in the early 70’s I remember going as a hobo dressing up in my dads old clothes. Cheap and cheerful for sure.

When I was about 10, my paternal grandmother made me a super-cool fairy princess costume: a fuchsia colored, shiny, glorious thing that swished when I walked. She put metallic gold trim on the hem and sleeves, and she cut a length of matching cord for a belt. My dad and mom kindly made a spray-painted gold crown and star wand out of a dowel rod, posterboard, and gold glitter. I think of my grandma whenever I am looking at cording and trim, and it's always a lovely memory.

I don't remember how old we were but my youngest sister dressed as little red riding hood and I was her grandma. Fast forward, this past May I gave her Red by Miribilia for her birthday in memory of that halloween. Cats are my favorite, took in some kittens last summer (2018) that I found starving on the bank of a river where me and my youngest had gone to fish from the banks. Three survived, have one away and kept the other two. Grand total of 7 pets at home - 2 dogs, big dogs, 3 cats, and 3 ball pythons....chaos but we love 'em.

Just can't imagine how much work went into Galleria for you. Your booth was fantastic. Happy to see that Ham Rock got to go too! My favorite Halloween costume was a headless horseman costume my mom made for me when I was still in grade school. I can remember parading through the classrooms and being so proud of it because the older kids were all like...ooooh, look at the headless horseman. My mom & I talk about this costume around Halloween every year and are so upset that we don't have a picture of it.

I don’t really remember any special costume for me. But probably 30 years ago, I made my husband a Donald Duck costume. Before retirement he was a junior high math teacher. You can make pillows out of too small t-shirts👍🏻 .I don’t really remember my costumes from when I used to dress up but as kids we usually dressed as witches, ghosts, clowns or cowboys / cowgirls and some other socially incorrect in this day and age. I love seeing the little ones who are so excited and then a little later they are hanging over the parents shoulder half asleep. The last costume I probably wore was my majorette costume that we used to wear when we were in parades. Hope you take some time for you, we don’t want you to get burnt out. 💖🙋🏼

My favorite halloween costume was not one that I wore personally but one that I had made for my husband. I made all of the costumes for my husband and children for years. the parties that we went to always included a contest for the best costume and for years my husband's costumes won first place. He went as "The Mummy" the first year he won. I made a muslin unde-rsuit then literally ripped strips of muslin and sewed them on row by row. We found a Mummy full head cover rubber mask to top it off. He is 6'5" so you can imagine how terrifying he was when he entered the room. He totally got into character as well! He also won as the Jolly Green Giant and the Tin Man. Those were fun times . . .

When I was a kid I dressed up as a witch several times - it was a pretty simple costume, as I recall. But as an adult, after I moved to Little Rock, I went to a couple of Halloween parties with the singles group at my church and won first prize both times. For one, I dressed as a cat (tuxedo cat!) I wore a white turtleneck under a black cardigan and black pants, white gloves and shoes, with a stuffed black leg warmer as a tail. I also buckled my two cats' kitten collars together to wear around my neck and made a big round cardboard "tag" that said, "I've had all my shots!" Another year I wore the bridesmaid dress from my younger sister's wedding, including the shoes, and carried a little pumpkin -type of gourd with little rubber mice attached to it and went as Cinderella.
