I don't have any idea about PGR's lore but for what i observed when playing wuwa and the concepts they took to build their story, i felt like Kuro is preparing us on a really really big "Turning point" of the story and i can see Kuro will use some of it's characters to be their sacrificial lamb for that conclusion to be realized.

Chances are it will be like they do the PGR pre patch streams with the Chibi animated characters taking us through it. There were a lot of problems with the pre release stream, honestly it was much more interesting watching it with Rexlent's live commentary talking about the BTS and why things were done certain ways. They still don't have the best understanding of what the global fanbase wants from them with marketing but they're getting better with it. Trailer was great but the red tower has a lot of us worried, Kuro have a history of bad things happening when red towers show up lol

What i notice is the prevalance of numbers and those towers, also the theme of time. We got this in PGR with the Hetero tower during Lee hyperreal debut... What i mean is taht the dude who made one of the best stories in pgr (surviving lucem) was moved to wuwa team, so we could be seeing a story written by him taking inspiration on hetero tower story too.

They actually had w couple dev livestreams for CBT 1 and 2 which where very decent and straight to the point. When releasing however the CN one was fine but the EN and less so JP one was them doing unrelated tasks to the point that despite being longer than the CN livestream they ended up missing out info. Hopefully they've learnt from that incident.

I'd argue that them having frequent livestreams actually is worth it over just patch notes. Livestream especially those with rewards draw in lots of players both active and inactive through both those directly watching the stream and indirectly through CCs. They are expensive but I see the benefit being higher + most gacha players can't read
