Romans 14:1-23: The weak and the strong.

In this passage Paul deals with matters of conscience. He is especially concerned to help Jewish and Gentile Christians to respect each other within the one Christian community. Right of private judgement and respect of conscience are key ideas in this passage. It is important to remember that this passage deals with secondary issues and not core gospel truths.
