It’s adorable that the airport ground crew at the end were waving like the ferry staff do! Amazing food of course.

I think I fell in love with the Yufuin burger as well, just by looking at it. I wonder if it's interested in a long distance relationship? Might not have been ideal to walk in but for some reason I like the cityscapes in the rain. The cat bowl when eating the chicken made me chuckle. The hotel room for the price looked pretty nice and that food looked way better than the last hotel. Thanks for sharing Solo.
@CopiousDoinksLLC2 жыл бұрын
I like the look of the Yufuin burger but I'm very curious about something - is the cheese the melted stuff on top between the bun and the lettuce? Or is the cheese that yellow block looking thing between the tomato and the bacon? Because if it's the latter, I find that to be a very interesting (and possibly better) alternative than the melted cheese we normally see on burgers in the West.
@lagbait30762 жыл бұрын
@@CopiousDoinksLLC I'm assuming the cheese is the block next to the tomato and that possibly the top is Japanese mayo, either way I'm game.

Wow! That really was an amazing food tour! So many delicious dishes to sample. Thank you for sharing this video. I also loved seeing the last image from the airplane as the ground crew waved "good-bye" to the passengers on the plane. This small gesture speaks volumes to me... In my family, we also wave good-bye whenever we are leaving, too.

I want to try that soup! I looked amazing!! All the food did, really, but the soup! I don't have a bathtub in my house. If I ever install one, I would want it to be big enough for me to fully sink in. The one in the hotel looked only big enough to sit in. But! You weren't there for the bathtub, you were there for breakfast! So the size of the bath doesn't matter a whole lot in that case.

Toriten teishoku is something I may have seen here in the States, but not sure. If I ever see it again on a menu, I'm getting it for sure. Never knew the train station times were all in military time though, that was interesting to find out. I think I'm starting to learn Japanese words now after watching all these videos (lol). The dumplings looked more like wide noodles to me. I don't know where you have the room for that burger after that soup set, but the burger looked amazing.and the cheese was a slab, not a slice! "Eating small" means something different for you and me with the karaage chicken dinner 😮. The burger and the toriten are definitely on my menu. Thanks for the food tour!!

“Would you like to stop here to eat before we go and eat?” You are like a professional eater!! I’ve watched all of your videos but I’ve never once seen you use a credit card at a vending machine or to purchase a meal ticket. Is this common in Japan, to use cash so often?
@shirokumakogyo2 жыл бұрын
Big restaurant chains, convenience stores, etc. will often accept credit cards, or these days electronic payment by smartphone, but cash is still king at smaller mom-and-pop restaurants and places out in the countryside. A lot of vending machines are equipped to take smartphone-based e-money, too.

The significant difference between the two is that Toriten is coated with a Tempura-style batter, while Kaarage typically employs a dry coating of Potato starch or Cornstarch.

I think that you need to look around and invest in one of those cameras that are built into a pair of glasses. I would say just head mounted, but that might get you even more looks then you get now from holding your phone up to everything. Either way, particularly for these food based videos, you need to be able to use both hands.

I have to move to Japan to try every food you showed us 😄 Did I really read Milch (milk) at the Kase pudding? So it is more like Käse? Not the stinky ones, but the creamy ones like in Käsekuchen, cheese cake?
