Hi Ray, small suggestion on video sound. KZbin loudness adjustment really sucks out the highs if the video's output is too much, I'd appreciate if you could limit a bit lesser the sound output of the video's. Nice mix video by the way, often such video's even though educational are simply boring but I didn't like like that likely cause of your practical approach thanks!

I've realised you've out your instruments as solo channel rather then stereo would that make a difference coz im struggling to find the right balance in my songs

Did you use anything on the master?

just a limiter to prevent any potential clipping

Probably a stupid question - How do you hook this up from your computer to your guitar amplifier

Rhythm guitar is for me always easy to dial in. The hardest thing is to let the leads fit into the mix.

i can't explain it here but you need to make them cut through the mix with EQ. search KZbin you will find some videos explaining the process.

@@ariamehr3339 yes i know. I only wanted to mention that this is the most interesting thing. The stl guys always claim that there is no post eq needed for their presets to fit into the mix. And thats wrong for most of the backing tracks i tried. Also the andy james plugin: try to use the backing tracks from the exodus album: you cant even come close to fit into the mix (similar to original). I only get the right sound with overlouds th-u plugin (rig library and ownhammer ir's), which is the most underrated plugin i have ever seen and also the best one.

We totally understand that battle! It's all about personal preference and taste

@@adalbertusignatius4967 Every night I jam on youtube backingtracks, there is an ola solo preset on the howard benson suit (screaming lead). It works very well for me, I keep the ir and switch amps always cutting and tight...but if I were to make rhythm tracks with it then it would be a problem :D STL sounds are overall very cutting and edgey, I hope one day they'll add a basic (but smart) eq knob to round them off when needed instead of surfing other ir's.
