STOCK... any good? | Maverick Strada SC Bash, Speed test | Nimh-2s,3s Lipo

How does the maverick strada sc perform in stock condition?
Overall, the suspension is fairly good, but needs the preload clips for off-road. Electronics are not great but its to be expected as it is brushed. I don't recommend running a 3s lipo because the motor will overheat. Bumpers stick out which means very poor approach angles.
More testing coming up.( brushless mod)
And comment if you think it will make the big jump over a river!

Loved the video, got the brushed one on the way. I believe the stock ESC has a Tamiya battery connector so how did you plug in your 2s & 3s Lipo's? Cheers

Thanks, I had to change the connector to XT60. I recommend to do this anyway since the tamiya connectors aren’t that strong and the wires can pull out of the case.

You would need to cut the wires from the battery and from the esc and solder the XT60 connectors to both. The XT60 isn’t compatible with the tamiya plug. It’s a completely different connecter which is most commonly used with lipo batteries.

Thanks👍 I was using a 5000mah 3s lipo and I couldn’t fit any bigger. I have made the car brushless now so it is much faster, I’ve gotten 40+mph.
