You have to be an engineer not just a mechanic to do a swap. The little miscellaneous parts trying to get everything to fit and fabricated is a headache

Thats why once I figure something out I that is needed in a swap I sell it on my website. I have the C10 shift Cable, Radiator and Fan combo, Bolt in pedal, ECU and TCM Mount, along with part numbers for the radiator hoses. It can make a swap a weekend of fun instead of a month of headaches waiting on parts that you find out you need.

Two things… one how are you using 2010 camaro gaskets on a LT motor? Two, will champion warranty trans too if radiator caused coolant and trans fluid to mix?

Can you make a video where you tune either a 8l90 or 6l80 to a truck that has 3.73 gears or gears close to that? I know in a previous video you mentioned or inferred that these transmissions like higher gears in the rear. Thank you!

I have 3.08 gears to be installed. No amount of tuning will fix too much gear reduction. First gear is useless with 3.73s.

@@Edgar-and-Wrench A 30 inch tire helps so you might be fine. Gm had trucks with the 8l90 with 3.73 gears.

@Swap Time yea my 2016 sierra had the 6.2 8l90e with max towing. But im not sure if it was 3.42 gears or 3.73

Man you’ve converted me from ls, Already on the hunt for l83 / 8l90! Do you do anything about the 8l90 torque converter issues? Or any maintenance you recommend on the Lt such as DOD delete or not necessary?

The main fix for the 8l90 is to use the updated Transmission fluid. I have not had any torque converter issues yet.

@@swaptimeusa I’m on a budget and I’m thinking of getting a l83 with a 8l90 but I have heard many people have issues with that transmission, should I spend more $$ and try to find a 10speed?
