I have a k24a with a 62mm turbo in my 2000 dx hatch. It's a rocket. You can get stupid power with very little done. Unfortunately anything after 600 whp and you have to look into transmission internals

@Angell4200 it's going to be a little hard to get power out of that motor. You have the k24a4 engine, which is the "eco" k series at o ly 160 hp. You can try the vtec killer setup or swap out the engine for a k24a2 or k20a2

@@Asmrsoundxz an easier route would be to swap out the cylinder head with a k20a2 or a k24a2. Just be warned, the stock rods aren't very strong on a k24a4 since they're not made for huge power. It would be beneficial just to do a swap. Make sure to get a kpro v4 or any ecm equivalent.

@Angell4200 nope, stock rods. I just did the standard type s oil pump and 50-degree vvt. I'll be working on the 5 speed transmission over the winter. Lsd, possibly dogbox or just stronger gearing. I'm currently at 13 psi and pushing over 400 whp, which is more than enough to have fun. You can snag a k24a for about 900 bucks right now if you're in the US. The k24a is the jdm variant. Just make sure it's stamped RBB on the cylinder head. Those have the high speed lobes for vtec on both the exhaust and intake camshafts and are the high-performance ones.

If you know anything about tuning it's not that simple. If you are used to tuning Subarus the software is a whole different experience and some people don't have time or neither do they care to make the investment or learn.
