The problem with above strategy or put it correctly codes are that when you are in long position it gives buy signal repeatedly not recognizing that you already have the stock

It looks like this strategy would be profitable when long signals appeared. Correct me if I`m wrong, but the chart shows the signals only, so it doesn`t mean that every signal would be a new trade, because you could have a open position already. So, wouldn`t it be better if you applied some sort of stop-loss and target profit, and consider if you already have a trade happening? Also there are a lot of python libaries for backtesting strategy such as backtrader, backtesting.py and zipline, that maybe it would help you.

Testing any code on an up-trend would possibly work, try it on a down-trend, if it is still working then it is good.

I did not find any vids on this topic. I started developing something similar on my own to improve entry and exit point that would also guaranty a position and not a miss. Also layering support/resistance levels from specific indicators would further improve price entry. The latter is in development. I just wanted to see how others would approach this problem.
