Check out my other vids bud for dyno's/walk around. I'm running Jakes stage III. It's basically just a manual valve body, pro trans brake, billet input shaft and hub. I honestly couldn't say money amount, these things the small stuff adds up, but nothing crazy.

shawn slopoke Turbo and a boost camshaft The 4.8 is the best for Boost GM engine Since your engine is 2013 it should handle from 15-20 psi easy with stock internal . Camshaft for boost , valve springs , turbo at least 15 psi just for fun and LSD If you decide to go N/A , I won’t recommend it because you would have to have 4.10+gears and 4000 stall bc the 4.8 doesn’t have torque below 3500 but after that it’s good for 7rpms or more

Because LS can handle well over a thousand horsepower on stock internals it's been proven and done with many junkyard Motors well over 150,000 miles. I have one on 14lbs of boost right now but gets 21lbs when on kill tune

What RPM do you have it shifting at? Stock, these 4.8L's can rev to 7,700rpm and not blow up, solely due to the fact that the 4.8L is a de-stroked 5.3L... at least, they can handle 7,700rpm for a little while.

+John Flynn thers a few articles about it not even reaching peak power till 7,000. car crafts 4.8 made 1201 on stock bottom, ported heads, and cam at 7000 rpm. rev happy motors

I highly doubt a factory 4.8 will do 7,700 RPM. 1.) They aren't running a cam that will pull to that RPM 2.) The valves would float out because the factory springs won't provide enough spring pressure 3.) The push rods will flex like a pole-vault pole causing instability in the valve train 4.) The factory truck hydrolic lifters would start to get squishy at that kind of RPM, again causing instability in the valve train

I have a 220-220 cam Its about a 3/4 inch cam ( I'm old school) I also upgraded with Texas speed Hp Rods and springs. The LS-1 Vortex stock roller rockers are a thing of beauty. This moter is terrific. the 4.8 screams for a turbo and a small shot of nitros. I have a 4-11 rear. I just had the transmission beefed up and installed a 3500 stall. Rob Melcher's Truck, ( the one in the Video) is sensational, to me is like the Chevelle of old. Its a thing on Beauty.
