This video stood out to me because my brother and I were 19 & 22 at the same time a few years ago, and I’m a girly girl and he was a techy geeky guy. He’s no longer on this Earth sadly, passed in August at 24, I was 21. Just wanted to say please give your kids a HUGE hug from me. Life is precious. These gift ideas are perfect, you remind me of my mama. :)

Also, all of you saying that buying for boys is difficult, I had all boys so I can't compare, although I do buy for my daughter in loves now, but I never had any issues buying for my boys. socks, boxers, favorite ink pens, gift cards to their favorite restaurants, gas cards, candy, card games, always a new toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, body wash, contact solution, after shave or cologne, razors, chapstick, gum, combs, when they were in school or college they got things they could use for school, flashlights, rubics cube, my youngest son loves to cook (he's 24, so he might get cooking utensils), I could go on and on of things they have gotten in years past, but these are just some ideas.

All those naysayers out there just because She likes to do this for Christmas for her two kids doesn’t give you the right to think you’re right and she’s wrong. They also have foot warmers! I delivered mail for 38 years, and I loved both the hand and foot warmers when they started selling them. One more idea for someone who works outside is ice cleats, sometimes called crampons. They fit over your boots or shoes and have short little cleats that protect you from falling on the ice. They’re only about 10 dollars-worth every penny!

So fun that you're putting Legos in his stocking! My oldest is 14 and at the point where he's too cool for toys, and wouldn't want to be given "kiddie" things. But it's encouraging to think that when he's in his 20s, he'll be mature enough to realize it's okay to be playful and enjoy things he used to enjoy - my husband is 43 and would LOVE Legos for Christmas! :)

I have always told my momma (she is 81) that I would love to have my stocking over any present! Love passing on these precious memories to our grown children.

My mom was abusive to me so I no longer have contact with her...this just reminded me I wish I had a mom to give me a stocking and choose gifts based on memories or what I like...you are so sweet and truly care about your children, happy holidays to you and your family ❤️

My daughter just left to head back to college and every time she drives away I cry because I lost my best friend. Your mom missed out on the greatest gift that God have her... YOU. I just came across this video, so I realize this is old. I just wanted to say, don't stop buying your son an ornament. I bought all three of my boys one every year , and then when they got married I gave them theirs as a wedding shower gift. They loved getting the gift and remembering the reason they got each of the ornaments. I still buy them and their spouses an ornament to put own their tree, as well as the grandbabies. I also buy a duplicate to put on my tree too.

This is almost a year old but I enjoyed it. My mom always put undies and socks in our stockings, a toothbrush, chapstick, and hand lotion. Always an orange too. Those were the staples.

I have a son and daughter also- 43 and 37! I put in windshield wipers for their cars. My son is a musician also so I put in drumsticks and ear buds for him. He is a professional wedding videographer and she is a surfer so I will put in chapstick and sunscreen. I’m going to put in a lego toy in his. Great idea.

Use permanent marker to write year and her name or initials on the bottom of the ornament. Makes for great memories in future.

Stockings are my very favorite thing to give at Christmas. My kids’ stockings are 4-feet tall and usually have stuff spilled into boxes. I buy things year round for them that are unique & fun!

Two adult,t boys, 20 and 22, in our household and we always add in a gift card for a years worth of haircuts for our younger son and our older son gets either a gift card to the “nice” car wash or for oil changes. Enjoyed seeing what you’ll be giving and congrats for having it done!

It’s easy to see how much you love your kids. Look at your smile when you talk about them! And you know their personalities so well. I don’t have kids, but I’m trying to figure out what to put in my wife’s stocking. She’s not a terribly girly person. Thank you for the ideas! 🙂❤️

Think of her hobbies. If she is a reader, maybe an around the neck reading light, cozy slipper socks and bookmark. If she is a crocheter or knitter, maybe a gift card to your local craft store that carries yarn (Joann's, Michael's or Ben Franklin). Yarn crafters are sometimes picky on what we prefer using but we also know how to find a coupon to get us 40-50% off of an item when we buy. Special candy, lip balm and lotions are always nice during the winter months, too. A bottle of perfume she likes and is almost out of. If in doubt, may sure to get gift receipts on everything which allows a later return and exchange than you would otherwise receive. I hope this helps.

I'm filling stockings for my teenage grandsons, granddaughter age 11, my grown son, daughter-in-law, and my mom. Exhausting. Thanks for some good ideas. I wrap each individual item before stuffing, and my family loves opening stocking stuffers better than gifts. Lol. I always put pez candies and silly string in my adult kids stockings. They always have a silly string fight outside and it is so fun to watch. I also put gum or mints in their stockings. You put some big stuff in their stockings. Some of those things are presents for my kids!

You have filled me with inspiration for their stockings, which are a glorious deep red velvet with white (imitation) fur cuff and golden bells. They’ve had them for years. They’re about the same size as you have for your children. I’ve found three of my boys - and all 4 are geeky too - hard to buy for. BUT! Not now, thanks to you. Thank you so so much for sharing. For long distance relative I went online to Macy’s Black Friday sale, and pick various stocking stuffer small gifts. Your video helped me balance it out. I couldn’t go too personal as I don’t know what they can wear and stayed neutral with facial products including fragrance free. I loved the ornament idea, and picked the cutest thing of an “ugly sweater” with Pom poms, lights on it, etc., crystal swan candle holders, socks, a makeup bag set as she has always been glamorous. I know some put candy people like in stockings, but even if they liked something junky I won’t give it to them. A better solution for me would be to buy the smallest box of Sees candy with seasonal pieces in there like pecan and apple pie. That’s a big candy store chain in CA. There’s a whole half a pecan on each piece and ground up ones in the middle, coated with white chocolate which is also great for people who can’t eat chocolate.

Last year was the first time we were not together for Christmas 😭 due to his job and it looks like this year he's not going to make it home either. I still get him a stocking and stuff it with some things I know he likes and an ornament and mail it to him.

I use the same stocking since they were little. Its a tradition. Of course, my daughter did pick out 3 new ones but we still use the same one and others stay in storgae. Legos always a great idea. They also have little packages 3 for $12.00 in case last min gift. Its good for the person's mind as well. My daughter I do pretty much the same. She buys her undies. Sadly she has 10x that eye shadow and rarely wears it. Thanks for your ideas. Pretty bedroom.

I have 2 over 21yr kids that I do stockings, I put a few mini bottles of alcohol from bevmo, they get to try something different without having to get a big bottle. I previously put a mini bottle of champagne and little chocolates! :)
