Happy memories for me as a signalman in the Stockport area for 26 yrs,working Edgeley No.2,(10yrs, regular s/man)then relief working Stockport 1 &2, E2,and Heaton Norris,from 1990-92,then regular in Stockport No.2,1992-2006..

@@leehardman8156 Thanks Lee, I am glad you mentioned the comment, as I had forgotten your secind name.. Working as a team, and learning from, not only, other peoples mistakes, but personal experiences and true stories, can`t be learnt from a book..If the job went up the wall, you were a great help to me when I were in Stocky 2..made the job a lot easier, I doubt from what you told me yesterday, that is no longer the case on both sides of the job..

Loved the action in that signal box(tower to us Americans)! Pretty easy pulls. I visited afew towers here in the US over the yrs that had levers that maybe handled some distant set of crossover points that would break your back to throw over!
