i think the top is in we just start making lower highs before the market rolls over....maybe we get a 3rd and final blow off top but my trend lines have been violated im out of all markets other then crypto which im expecting to be out of early summer by fall i expect everything crashes like 50-80% crash made plenty of money no need to be greedy anyways just my 2 cents wish everyone the best of luck remember to take some profits!

Thinking the top is in and still holding crypto is an interesting position to be in, considering it correlates with the leveraged risk-on trade, I would actually say crypto is the pointy end of this bull market, full of leverage and froth. I prefer to always stay invested in a diversified portfolio of cashflow producing assets and not try and time entire markets. Merry Christmas! 🎅

You're entitled to your opinion, Derek. I don't think this is a bull trap, those typically occur on breakouts above resistance levels on low volumes, then price quickly reverses. Today was big bullish breadth momentum thrusts off very oversold lows and internal readings, making this week more of a shakeout of weak bulls in my opinion. Merry Christmas!

The notion that we need higher employment rates to get inflaion down while USG runs super hot is rediculous. 1% of 160M avg US employment is1.6M*$60k (avg salary) is $72B. USG is in the trillions in overspending and millions of too many employees.

Hey Jared! Daily watcher here.. Pose a question.. ask your opinion. Something for you to ponder on your vacation. What’s going to be the next “ new hype”? We’ve seen the EV hype. Now we in the middle of the AI one.. What’s next? My thinking is possibly Genomics. With RFK pushing better health and going after the pharmaceuticals. Maybe the suppression of newer tech in healthcare will let loose.. this will be several years in the development of course. When Bitcoin tops and crashes and Mag7 slips a little bit. The search for yield is going to be looking for the next big hype.. just a thought. I could be wrong.. a lot of variables. But something to think about.. it would be a major market considering everyone gets sick at some point in their life. Enjoy your vacation, Merry Christmas..

Big volume with moderate moves as a bottoming signal is a new one for me. Thanks. Great analyses. If I were Stanley Druckenmiller I'd be taking profits on those bond shorts right here! Savage reversal in the VIX was due to Government shut down averted, which is a distraction form the medium term more hawkish FED stance shift. The markets are in reality mode now rather than FED driven. This is good and will make for some good opportunities both ways!

In my review of this sell off and rebound repricing I keep coming back to two things: 1. Doesn't matter that much what the fundamental data says, if the market needs to drop, for whatever reason, then the market will drop - so I'm focusing on what the data makes the petulent market do. 2. I'm really glad to see the market now expects fewer than 2 rate cuts next year.... as opposed to this time Last year when market heard cuts were coming and immediately priced for 8 cuts. To me, that felt like way top much but I was too new to markets. Looking back, I was right that it didn't feel right. This feels right and I think that even if they had to raise, the market wouldn't completely freak out (but that would make the market drop 10%), but of course it will go up eventually

Yes it's amazing how wrong the Fed Funds pricing path often is looking back over the years, it's quite over reactive to a perceived path forward, I think rates are lot more difficult to forecast that what most people naturally assume.

What happened to Nokia and Black Berry was innovation stagnation. Which is what is what is happening to Apple now. When Apple took over the phones market they provided something that changed the way people used the phones and how they communicated. Security has evolved with face recognition but not a game changer for the consumer. However, for them to loose the top of the hill, another player would have to come in with something so revolutionary and game changing that the phone landscape would change again. As of right now I'm at a loss as to what that could be because they do so much now. Back then they were just starting to be like little computers in your hand that you could take everywhere and seemed like the possibilities were endless. Unlike today. AI might be that change the phone companies are needing to keep or take over the market shares. Personal assistants in a busy/lazy society would be infinitely useful. I'm not sure how they would monetized it though. Another thinker of a video. Have a great Vacation, Cheers!

Hey, thanks for your thoughts and good points. I agree, Apple risks being another Nokia/BB due to lack of innovation. I for one, would love a Tesla smartphone that connected to Starlink, I think internet anywhere could be a game changer along with many people (myself included) wouldn't mind switching phone brands even if an alternative were similarly priced, but Apple does seem well entrenched at this stage so let's see.
