ETF....An exchange traded fund (ETF) is a basket of securities that trade on an exchange, just like a stock. ETF share prices fluctuate all day as the ETF is bought and sold; this is different from mutual funds that only trade once a day after the market closes STOCK...A stock is a type of investment that represents an ownership share in a company. Investors buy stocks that they think will go up in value over time. ... A stock is an investment. When you purchase a company's stock, you're purchasing a small piece of that company, called a share.

How much money could you expect to make bro by putting 10,000 into the Vanguard ETF stock? I think it had a Dividend yield of 5.30 or so. What should that be expected to pay out and at what rate

Garry Washington Yisrael here’s what you do and how you look at it family: When you drop $10,000 in Vanguard ETF your $10K will earn 5.3% - That equates to $500 per year forever or $10,500. Unlike a bank, if you drop $10K you will earn 0.01 percent on your money (pennies at best). This is why we choose the stock market. Great question
