I was there days before you recorded this video, and I'm the one who planted that little American flag too! Great hike!

Just checked this hike out today. It was great! Though I turned around just past the false summit. Thanks for the guide and video!

How was Morgan? Hopefully not too hot. The Santa Anas can be brutal in the summer.

Thanks for sharing! My uncle and I do this hike all the time, so I'm an expert on this trail.

I first did this one as a consolation prize from trying to find another way to a different mountain that kept eluding me. lol. If you turn left at the flat instead of going to the peak, it takes you into this really messy and disturbing valley that's really only suitable for bikes.

I could have used this guide last year - thank you for doing this! I first hiked Stoddard Peak last summer when I was very new to hiking but could not figure out where to go past that big rock. Not wanting to get myself in a precarious situation, I turned around. Did it again this year and figured it out.

Ha yea, don't feel bad, I think a lot of people stop at the false summit, and it's always better to play it safe. But glad you figured it out, the summit is a sweet one.
