Did this today. There's water and small water falls at the start of the hike. 10/10 would recommend. Wear a hat and sun's screen. Almost no shade.

Somebody finally made a sign, but it looks like the bookshelf is gone?

Bookshelf was still there... mainly functions as a lost and found

It is, I hiked that peak a few weeks ago and the bookshelf was still there

How is it you know the names of these peaks? Do you see them on a map or you just hide them so often you've come to know them?
@Hikingguy3 жыл бұрын
Ha well I'm a map geek. I've been looking over maps for years so know where the peaks and trails are. Try to hike them, try new routes, etc. before recommending a hike on the site.

Hi I will be taking my dog with me and don't like being super close to a steep drop. I wondered if you think the fire road across from Clear Creek would be a better starting point for me. Thanks so much.

Yea it's def wider than Colby Canyon - I'd think fine for a dog, plenty of space

August 10, 2019, totally got air pollution exposure here going up that easy backside slope. Fire lookouts at the top under a tent warmed me too!

It's funny you say that, because if you look at this video, the air is all yellow. It was from the KNP Complex fire up in Sequoia. Guessing today with the Santa Anas it'll be nice and clear.

@@Hikingguyhello and thank you for all your adventure hikes here, I’m planning to do this peak tomorrow but I don’t have an adventure pass permit, so I need it?
