For me, this game can be slow (which I don't mind). But then it goes from 0-100 really quick in gunfights. It's why I enjoy it so much.

Also the radio creates a lot of opportunities. For instance, if you’re entering or attacking a base where there are friendlies, you can find their squads frequency and alert them that you are coming, so they don’t team kill you. People should use the radio more 😊

sometimes people need to use it less. i have to tell people to please use prox chat instead of platoon channel for talking to the people around you during a firefight lol. meanwhile im building stuff at a base and getting a play by play by some tryhard who keeps the mic hot nonstop

@ Sure, but I’m not talking about platoon channel. You can find on the map the name of the squad and their frequency in the squad list, and message them directly that your coming or link up for an assault, and save the platoon channel for other things. I’m just saying that it would be cool if players leaned to use the radio properly, that’s all :)

Its great but the engagements are a bit few and far between for me. Hell let loose is this but has more regular player engagements. I do love arma though, the freedom is a nice change of pace to HLL.

I agree. Seems decent but it's just too slow for me with lots of running and driving around with some firefights mixed in. HLL is the perfect combo of milsim + casual to keep things interesting.

How does the ranking system work?

you're rank restarts every server refresh after a conflict war has ended. you have to build, run supplies, defend base, kill enemies, transport troops and other things to help your side to get rank. there is no out of server rank that stays with you.

you earn XP by building up bases, delivering supplies, killing enemies etc. you rank up from private > corporal > sergeant > onwards... sergeant rank is required to spawn in helicopters because you have to be a productive player to reach that rank

Sounds like his complaint about extraction mode shooters is the fact he's over extraction shooters? I'll give him a couple weeks before he gets bored of this or until the next shooter comes out before he starts praising that one. The whole sandbox thing works if you have a few mates that are as equally into it and as streamers this type of gameplay is easy content. As much as I like watching these lads play as the banter is great, this game itself I find boring to watch. While I do tune in from time to time (like I am now), I not watching a complete stream like I used to.
