low brass/high brass isn't a factor in modern ammunition. Comes down to velocity.

I have a 3020 and love it. The main thing is to keep the action oiled up . I spray WD40 on the action spring under the forearm. Never have a problem with any jaming. It's my Turkey shotgun. I have 0 complaints about it.
@RegularGuysOutdoors10 ай бұрын
Thanks for the pointers. I keep a can of wd40 in the car so I can hose off the gun if I get rained on.

I bought a Stoeger M3020 this year on September 6th, I took it out on the 8th and shot 12 rounds that were 7/8 oz. Winchesters without an issue. I went to pattern it, several days later and I had some feeding problems. I didn't think it was terrible because I was shooting low velocity low weight rounds. I did go back inside and tore it down and cleaned it and lubricated everything. When I was putting it back together I noticed the forearm was cracked. Mine is a walnut stock with the burnt bronze cerakote on the barrel and receiver. Today is September 26th then it is back at Stoeger for them to replace the forearm and check everything out. Customer service seems pretty good. I like the gun okay so far but my wife was not satisfied and went and bought me a Benelli Super Black eagle 3 Be.s.t. The Benelli has no problems cycling anything I throw at it. I'm going to keep this over though so I guess I'll just have two 20 gauge inertia action shotguns. I did go shoot some skeet with the Benelli and at one point I had nine in a row. 😁👍

Use the Stoeger as your “beater” or backup. You’re supposed to buy the Stoeger and save a bunch of money over buying the Benelli, but both is better I guess, lol.

Looks like a great tool . Didn't the manual say that it needs a break in with heavy loads? Some time they do
@Higginbottom_210 ай бұрын
I’m a Hunting guide so I can say from experience that all inertia guns need to be broke in with heavy loads. I put Wolff Extra power recoil springs in my Benelli’s and have never had one single issue or the “Benelli Click”. Don’t know how many thousands of rounds I’ve put through them. Bought my SBE2 back in 2008 and my M2 20ga in 2018. My M2 is my workhorse. I use it every day from September - Mid February for dove, ducks and goose seasons. The SBE2 soul purpose is for spring conservation snow geese now. It holds 13 rnds depending on shell length. The Stoegers are good guns but their biggest flaw is the extractor will eventually wear out. Need to just go ahead and replace it with a Benelli extractor to make it last.

I gotta admit, I didnt read the manual… might have helped on reassembly, LOL

I do appreciate the insight. The extra power spring gives it extra oomph to slam it into battery and keep it there? I will source an extractor
@Higginbottom_210 ай бұрын
@@RegularGuysOutdoors no problem and yes. Mine slam shut like just about like any gas gun with the Wolff Extra power spring. I don’t think anyone makes one for the Stoegers or Franchi’s yet but I’ve read on some forums that you can stretch the spring out 3/4 of an inch and it helps.

Looks like much improvement from the previous model. I want to get one for ducks as well. Been running the m3500 for the past 5 years. Gun has been a tank. Thanks for the review
@RegularGuysOutdoors10 ай бұрын
I saw both models side by side when I got this one. Stock grip feels better, extended controls and possibly some loading port beveling, maybe why I was able to effortlessly load with gloves on.

From the several Stoegers I have owned they are hit or miss guns. I don't have long term experience with any of them because I sold them. Owned one that ran every load I put it it and others that just wouldn't run. They all had triggers over 9lbs too. Long term I dont trust the extractor on the stoegers so I would recommend upgrading to a benelli extractor.
@RegularGuysOutdoors10 ай бұрын
The M3000 I use in NC had a heavy trigger, Phil and played with springs and brought it down a bit, but it started at about 8 and I think its now 6.5-7. Still heavy but manageable and better than it was.

I owned three m3020's and all were great, and my son still has one. I see yours is the updated version, how does the forend feel compared to the camo forend? That camo forend is the previous version.
@RegularGuysOutdoors5 ай бұрын
The forends are indeed different. The new one(in my case, black) is slightly more bulky in a rounded way that feels better in the hand for wingshooting.
