This week, we're returning to one of our favorite fishing destinations, Cedros Island, with Cedros Outdoor Adventures. Cedros Island is just a few hours' trip south of San Diego, California. Not only is the resort beautiful, but the fishing has always been nothing short of incredible for us. Every year we head back, the fishing is a little different, and there are always surprises. Not only did was the Halibut fishing wide open, we got a personal best Yellowtail.

Remember - ask for the spicy smoked yellowtail dip from the cooks! It was the best thing we ate there! Jose and crew do a fantastic job.

Go to Bay of LA. Stay at Casa Diaz and fish the end of May. Water and weather perfect for really big yellows. My PB there was 48#. Bit 60# mono with 3/0 hook. Fished three days and all the fish I caught were 38-48#. Leave like 3am and get to Ensenada about 10am.
