Hey my young friend! it's been too long since I've dropped in. It's so cool to see you return were I first watched you doing real adventure. I'm sorry to have left Patreon and been gone for almost 2 years. Lots of bad health has overcame my dreams of getting out. The Gazelle tent just sits there mocking me along with all the other gear. I had one hip replaced but poor health canceled the next one. I was so depressed when KZbin promoted your video tonight for the first time in forever. Watching this right now on the big screen tv you made me buy to enjoy watching your amazing adventures. I'll be honest, I'm terminally ill and if I don't get a miracle Im still so grateful for you taking me on your adventures, the ones that really transcend technology to bring me along with you. Your style is un-pretentious and real gritty. You really lifted my spirits tonight. Thanks for that my dear friend. Craig in Illinois

That's an area that has always beckoned for me. The most comparable canoe trips that I've done were the Mackenzie River from Fort Simpson to Norman Wells in 1975, and then in 1977, from near Hearst, Ontario to James Bay via the Nagagami, Kenogami and Albany Rivers and then down James Bay to Moosonee. (The latter was after an unsuccessful James Bay attempt from the Quebec side in '76, in which I started down the Harricana from Joutel but turned back while the turning back was good, after seeing how long the portages were taking and deducing that the number of them would cause me to take a month, which I wasn't equipped for.) I rode the Port-Aux-Basques ferry on the return leg of a Pennsylvania-to-Labrador bike ride in '82.

Want to thank you for the visual and commentary of your journey thru Labrador and then 4 yrs later back to the canoe you had left. While you froze, struggled up rivers, portaged, and at times soaked, here we were in our warm home. You showed the strength and determination a person can have in such a journey. Nothing like those magical moments with the call of the loon ,sunsets and Northern Lights. Well done.
