Exploring the Sierras: Owens River Trout Fishing

Wow, holy Eastern Sierra! It's been a full month of trout shows, and we've been trying to cover as much as possible with trout fishing in the creeks above Bishop. We teamed up with Jared at South and Sabrina Lake, and then we did a day hike back into God's country to Long Lake, which was incredible. Today on Stoked on Fishing, we're stopping by Mammoth's one and only Rick's Sports Center to get schooled on some fly fishing on the Owens River, just above Lake Crowley. I promise you, this is an ending to a show you won't want to miss. Ryan got a big one; Ryan got a big one!

We were there last week for 3 days of fly fishing. Owens River and Hot Springs are off the hook. It has come an annual get away. The beauty of Owens River is the closest you gonna get to Montana.

13:28 "Do I look the part?" Yes, you look the part. Is it mandatory to spend the $700 in clothes/accessories just to fly fish and "fit in"? The fly fishing (and even regular old fishing thing) is out of control. FFS, if you want to fish, just fish and have fun.

i do own some "fishing clothes" but yeah i never understood the whole fishermen look or having to buy certain "gear". i just wear whatever lmao
