Fishing for Giant California Golden Trout | Backpacking in the Sierras | Lucky Tides Fishing

3 day backpacking trip up into the remote wilderness of the Sierra Nevadas. Gnarly hike to our campsite and ran out of water. Took about 6 to get there, which was much longer then expected. We caught lots of Brooke trout on day one. Day 2 we hiked another few miles to our second lake. We heard a rumor that this lake might hold the elusive golden trout and we were not let down. I caught the biggest trout I’ve ever caught and it was a golden! All around it was an awesome trip and one of the hardest, most rewarding, and most beautiful hike I’ve ever done in the sierras. No catch and cook this time by next time we will be eating lots of trout. Come along and watch the journey. Let me know what you guys think!!
