Hi guys! I am 57 living in Michigan and I am always floating around on KZbin. I just happened upon your channel today. How interesting and amazing for me to watch! I lived down there in the area back in my 20's and early thirty's. I sold Kirby vacuums for a number of years back then and would often find myself in the Villages. It is just crazy to go back and look at some of your cart ride videos! Back then I think I remember driving north on 44 on my way home to Ocala. Back then on one side of the road was a park with really old mobile homes, and on the other some nicer newer mobile homes. There were no stick built homes back then. By the time I left to return to Michigan back in the early 90's they had started to build real homes and had one little mall section built with a pedestrian bridge going over I think 44, maybe 441? What an explosion to the size it is today! Fun to watch your videos! I now have a few Family members living down there seasonal from Michigan. Last name of Herbert and Roberts. Cheers to you two!

In our retirement community of about 300 homes (in North FL, not The Villages), a neighbor's cart disappeared after a community meeting. Turns out it was accidentally taken home by another neighbor. The two carts were nearly identical, and the same key fit both. Both couples still chuckle over that.

Another great segment especially with Linda back to make Gizmo so happy and her many fans. Jerry was happy to see Linda too. You guys are so cute. You are doing such a great job selecting and answering the questions. You are really a big help to so many trying to make the move to The Villages, I imagine. It was also great to recognize the lady that keeps that section of road road clean. That is important. She hopefully inspires others to do the same in their community. Here in Maryland our community has a group of volunteers that periodically clean up the road. It is a shame some passers by by feel they have the right to just throw out trash onto the road. It is a real problem across the nation, in my opinion. How do we instill those good values into the people of today? If we all don't play a part, tings won't stay nice. Thank you.

I'm with Linda on having an additional bathroom for your other guest room. I have 2 daughters and if they visited us at the same time (which I would love) I would want each daughter and their husband's to have their own bathrooms. Love your show!

Our electric bill here in Indiana has changed hands again we have Center Point and our electric is going up 53 dollars a month some because they put these orange looking Ballon things on our lines.I hope Linda had a wonderful visit .Linda gizmo just sat there during programming and looked for the door to open we use to pick up alot of trash in our old house and the trash bag was full we use to pull weeds for my neighbor and cut back overgrown hedges and cut grass for the elderly for free we always shovel all the ice and snow for the mail carrier too

Jerry, you are not allowed to add artificial turf - there was an article I read where a homeowner had to remove the turf that a previous owner had installed - so glad we have a committee to look at what people want to install in their yards.

Hi Jerry and Linda. Great video! Wow Jerry you do a fast cleaning job! LOL Praises to Colette for helping keeping our community nice and neat. She's a great citizen. I agree with you. I don't think these thefts are committed by Villages residents. It's a sad situation, but it's best that we give those thieves some kind of deterrent by equipping our golf carts with locks of some kind. I'm glad we don't use trash bins/garbage pails. We put the bags outside the night before and like magic everything is gone the next morning! It would look awful here if there were all these trash containers left lining the streets. As soon as you mentioned the movie you two are in, I went to KZbin and found it. The version I found is in Italian. Thanks for a great Mailbag Monday! ❤

Hi guys! I know this is an old video, but I just watched it again and wanted to comment about the golf cart thefts. There’s currently a thread about golf cart thefts in a Villages Facebook group I’m in, and there was a couple of ideas in the comments for securing your cart. One guy said he had a security system installed when he had his cart custom made. You have to enter a passcode in order to use the key to start the engine. Another guy said he had a dedicated key made for his cart when it was custom built since all Yamaha carts use a standard key. I think what you guys mentioned about the lock on the parking brake is a great idea too. 😊
