I live in N.E. Ohio on Lake Erie, and last year my daughter said let’s go down to the lake, so when we got to the lake my daughter said look a pelican. I was stunned and said there are no pelicans around here, so she took me to where she saw it. I sure miss all the Florida birds. My husband won’t live there, but I had a house in Tampa Bay golf and Country Club for 16 years. We are now in a Del Webb community in SOUTH Carolina. I’m warming up to it, but sure miss those birds!

Hi Jerry and Linda, not sure if you are aware of this, but if you have an FM radio on during a meteor shower, you can just tune it to a blank frequency and it is possible occasionally to hear short bursts of distant FM stations. The technical term of that type of signal is MS (Meteor Scatter or Meteor Shower). FM Stations received via MS can be heard from hundreds of miles away. From your location, FM stations in NY state, would be a possibility, depending the direction of the meteor shower. You two are not old by any means. We are all only as old as we feel. I am 69 and still going strong. Great seeing the pelicans. I remember seeing pelicans up at Nelson Bay NSW back in 2017. Pickle Ball seems quite similar to tennis. This video is the first time that I have seen it being played. I certainly recognize bunko. We have had that at our church fellowship evenings. The 466 tunnel there with the slope at the entrance reminds me of the old former Kingsway tram tunnel in London UK. Wishing you both and of course Gismo all the very best. Rob.

You're doing a great job flying and videoing. Look out Don Jerry's competing with you. LOL. Yesss, that was definitely a SPAM miracle. I've eaten the Hot & Spicy, the Jalapeno, the plain, but the Hickory Smoke is my favorite. I like cutting it up in my salad. My wife and I have prepaid our cremations with Baldwin so that our children won't have that burden. Although "The Squares" stop at 9 PM, the bars (City Fire Midnite, Gators 12 AM Fri & Sat 2 AM, World of Beer Midnite Fri & Sat) have later hours. Another great job Gizzy. Love my Hershey's chocolate too....

Congratulations on your newest granddaughter! What a blessing! You know, prices are all relative to where one lives. I live in northern Virginia. We have visited The Villages twice. We have dined at the a few Club houses, and in regular restaurants in the town squares. We thought the prices were pretty reasonable compared to here and our usual vacation spot, Disney World. We visit there at least twice a year. Also, I like the way the covenants work on a complaint basis. Here, our HOA comes around onto our property to inspect it and look for any violations. Sometimes they won't give even when neighbors sign a petition in support of the so called violation which recently was a door color of a neighbor. I'm really looking forward to the day when we can finally call The Villages home.

Looking at the pictures of the pickle ball court, it looks like the courts in the distance were all empty. What's with that? Doesn't look like a shortage of courts to me. I had a great experience playing pickleball as an experienced but limited player ( because of a knee issue) when I was in TV for a month last year. I took the 2 classes and went to the open beginner times at a couple of different rec centers. I met great people in line to play and most everyone was pleasant about the range of skills within the “beginner” level. I was told there was an intermediate beginners group as well. That might be a place to start! Great video as usual! Can’t wait to come down as snowbirds in January!!

Great title today guys. The 80 year old party girl peaked my interest lol. Gizmo was not amused. Congrats on your brand new sweet granddaughter. As a retired nurse, I chose regular Medicare plus a supplement. Having seen all the pre-approval and denial hassles with Medicare Advantage plans with our patients, and none with Medicare, it made it an easy choice. It may be harder to find a doctor who takes straight Medicare in certain locations, so check that out. The supplement does a good job of picking up the costs not covered by Medicare; just make sure your provider is billing them after billing Medicare. Not really a problem, but one time this was not done and I caught it.

Congratulations on your new granddaughter! Not surprised that the Villages has their snobs as far as sports are concerned. Though what I do find surprising is that they don't encourage those in the beginner classes to form their own teams. We got a chance to stop by on our way to our winter home i.e. had lunch @Cody;s and walked around the square. Maybe a life style visit on our way home - providing we can find a place to park our dogs for a few days. Though if we could park our rv in front for the 4 days, that would be nice.
