Leamington Ontario is my hometown born and raised and even worked at Heinz a bunch of years during Tomato season. Heinz closed down and left the town but the plant is still there and another factory is there now that does same stuff heinz did.

I understand your partisan sentiments, Gman, however the Harper Conservative government was in power 2 years ago. We can, however, lay blame on the Ontario liberals who have made Ontario an expensive place for companies to do business. I vote for no "party" in particular - they are all crooks.
@PnnyPnchr7 жыл бұрын
Held the country together? Harper was a one-trick pony who supported extraction of natural resources (read oil) and ignored the manufacturing sector. Now that oil prices have collapsed our economy is in the crapper. So put on your blinders and support whoever you want, as I said before it doesn't matter who you vote for we're screwed. The dollar was on its way down anyways with the oil collapse. And BTW - I DID vote for the Cons candidate in the last election so I am not Conservative bashing here.

I remember when I was a little girl around seven and eight years old maybe a bit older My grandmother used to have a cassette tape of him at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto Stompin Tom Connors really was a true Canadian adult history said that he was kicked out of a lot of towns for what he saying but I don't know I don't really have anything negative to say about him except for nothing really all I have to say it I liked it music the only song that I didn't really like out of all the songs you did with the one of both KD Lang I never like to Katie Lang much one my brother Dwight was living he used to talk to me about old country music and one day without talking about Stompin Tom Connors and KD Lang he told me that Stompin Tom Connors wrote a song about KD Lang I said you know I don't really like Katie Lang and now my brother and I used to argue about that a lot and when he passed away I reminded him before I let him go and say goodbye to him I told him about what we said about Katie Lang and Stompin Tom Connors the day my brother died I was in my house listing to my tapes and all of a sudden around 3 o'clock the song about KD Lang and came on my tape little did I know that my brother was going to passed away that day he was on life support and they said they were going to put a trachea in him and they decided not to they let him go that day cuz my brother didn't want to live that way and when I heard the song I had no idea that my brother was laying in the hospital posted on that night when my mother came home where Mom told me about my brother and what was weird to me is what has happened that day but thanks just don't become Connors we had a lot of beautiful music and a lot of history of his work as a singer so needless to say start up a phone call on her I know you are in heaven and I know that you are looking down on the world and hoping and wishing that you're strong as well live on they do and I'm sure a lot of people would have grey with me never speak negative about something that we really don't know about if we know music the way we do let's be positive and think about all the star that have made music what it is today
