Fahey is the only artist I know of who can make strumming just the open strings in standard tuning sound meaningful in the context of the composition.

Feels like I’m getting pulled into the Fahey vortex. A new sensation. He came onto my radar when performing on Laura Weber’s PBS afternoon show “Guitar, Guitar” . Bacon and Day Señorita. Cool guitar, but back then she also had Hot Tuna on as guests. That was my direction for a while.
