Yeah great video. I was really feeling the nerves watching you do the first run. Great editing with music, cuts to different shots, interview style about what was going through your mind. Congrats Stomp it team. This was really good viewing

That's awesome, Jens: another great video showing how even an elite skier has to struggle and have setbacks while trying to learn and master something new before critical eyes! Well done.

🙏🏻 In-front of critical eyes took years to get used to. Struggling to learn new tricks on skis was always something I mostly enjoyed.

I really like all your videos, but this was (I think) the most fun and interesting. It goes to show how tough the equivalence is! I never knew what the test was, but I know now. Is it age modified or handicapped in any way? As an older skier I suspect it would be virtually impossible for a middle aged skier to pass! Great video, well done on many levels and thank you!!!

Congrats Jens! I really got into the story following your narration. But please be careful out there! I feel for you when you told us about your head injury.

Dang 52 is a brutal long course. Cannot imagine a 52 second course. Our races are like 25-30 seconds and that’s enough for me. Whooped at end, 52 I’d crash. You did great.

Thank you. Luckely it was much less physically demanding at the end.

Excellent, thank you so much for the inside info . I'm sure this is the most complete video of what's really happening in the isia speed test.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Given the skis you were on, that was a brilliant effort! It would have been better/easier on a set of masters GS race skis, but you passed anyway! Well done!! :-)

Would love to much to hear how other people did, obviously anonymized. What was the overall cutoff, what were the times of the FIS people, etc. Great video! Gripping! :)

Very well done Jens, and glad you got through the head injury!! You did well to get through the test first time. But from watching you ski you are a strong skier regardless of your background not being in racing, and i thought you may get through first go. But for sure the skill level is impressive with the FIS racers, the margin for little technical mistakes is tiny when you are a good racer vs top 10 in whatever level comp you are in. There is a lot less freedom in style and execution compared to freestyle 🙂 I would've been very interested to see how much difference a set of 19m or 20m skis would have made to your time as well. I would bet a second or two off your time.

Jens, how much tighter did you set your bootstraps up compare to a normal day of skiing?
@StompItTutorials10 күн бұрын
Haha too tight I have a vague memory of wanting to open up the boots immediately after each run.
@carl-emilchristensen373810 күн бұрын
Congratulations! Which boots are you using for your race?
@StompItTutorials10 күн бұрын
I use the HAWX ULTRA 130 S GW not a race boot just an aggressive piste boot.
